For those of you who are that way inclined I've set up a Facebook page for CTC Cymru. I've put links to this site as well as to CTC National and will use it to advertise the Festival. Please let people know it's there.

To start things off I've trawled the internet to put links to rides. Please have a look, let me know what you think and feel free to add to it or contact me if you want me to add things.

Look forward to hearing from you!

I am advised that according to the latest list from CTC HQ, the representative for Carmarthenshire is Wynford Allen.
However, as a result of being unable to devote sufficient time to the role, he has told me that he has requested the CTC to remove his name from the list of Right to Ride Representatives.

There are apparently a total of 20 Welsh RTR reps in the database, though some may be defunct.
Between them they cover about 12 of the 22 regions.

So, volunteer why not?

If a full and current list of reps can be found, it will be added to this topic on the Forum.

Any further information on the Right to Ride representation within Wales would be appreciated since the CTC Cymru website will shortly be updated and will include a Right to Ride section.

I cant recall for sure if it was him who died, I have had email exchanges a long time ago but didnt really know him. This could be very embarrassing if I am wrong.

Thanks Meic

I recently found Brian's details still listed on the CTC website. Guess I better be careful about making contact. Would hate to upset family.

I am not sure of this but I think it was Brian Healey.

Also I think that he died a year or so ago. However I could well be mistaken about this. Embarrassed

The Welsh Festival of Cycling is indeed scheduled for the 23rd to 26th July 2010 and is to be staged at Rhosgoch Golf Club.

Facilities thereat look  to be very good, certainly better than at some Football and Rugby clubs employed in recent years. More on the facilities later.
Rhosgoch, in the county of Powys, is about 5 miles north west of Hay-on-Wye and therefore reasonably easily accessed by road and rail.
The surrounding countryside offers, as usual at our Festivals, wonderful cycling potential for riders of all abilities.

More details to follow.

So, look out your 'filofax', get out your appointments book or just make a note in your electronic diaries, 23rd to 26th July = Welsh Festival of Cycling.
